Action plan update

Labour shortages are coming back soon — are you ready? go2 is updating the Tourism Human Resource Action Plan to set the human resource vision, goals and strategies for the next five years for BC’s tourism and hospitality industry. We are holding regional industry consultations to meet with local tourism/hospitality operators to ensure labour issues and concerns in each region are captured. This is a critical component in the development of the updated HR Action Plan.

The objectives of the session are:

• Provide research findings from online survey and stakeholder interviews

• Obtain input on key issues and priorities for the Kootenay Rockies region

• Obtain input on ways to address the issues and priorities in the updated Action Plan

Tourism/hospitality business owners, managers, supervisors and front-line employees are invited to attend.

The Cranbrook session occurs on Wednesday, October 5 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Sandman Inn.  Participants are asked to RSVP by Monday, October 3.

This event is open to tourism/hospitality business owners, managers, supervisors and front-line employees only. Space is limited and is available on a first-come-first-served basis.

For any questions regarding the industry consultations, or to reserve a spot, please contact Charlene Prystupa at 604-633-9787 ext 224 or by email
