The Tamarack Centre is pleased to announce the opening of the beautifully re-vamped public washrooms.

“This is a big deal for us since they were the original washrooms dating back to our opening in 1976—35 years ago,” said Linda Birch, centre manager.

“Work was performed by Steeples Construction and the design by Maxim &

Linda,” added Miriam Johnson, marketing director.

The public’s cooperation is greatly appreciated as it was an inconvenience over the two months required to complete the renovations. As well as the aesthetic improvements, fixtures and water systems were updated for the public’s convenience and with water conservation and efficiency in mind.

A very clever and practical invitation to the opening event was utilizing a toilet paper roll which was wrapped in the invitation which read, “Grand Opening Potty.” Also, in keeping with this theme, the Canadian Cancer Society, Relay for life portable toilet was on hand accepting donations for this worthy cause.
