Kin Club of Windermere donates $1,000 to A Clear View campaign
The Kin Club of Windermere Valley is the most recent service club organization to step forward in support of the A Clear View ~ digital mammography unit. Its twelve mighty members voted unanimously to donate $1,000 to the East Kootenay Foundation for Health for its work on the project.
Through fundraising initiatives like its annual snow golf tournament, fishing derby and its serving it right bartending services the Kin Club over the past year set its sight on getting involved.
“Most of us know Sheila Tutty who is the local face of the A Clear View campaign so it is especially rewarding when we know that this type of support to the regional hospital will ultimately help many woman (and men) living in the Columbia Valley,” explains Kin Club President Steve Mantyka.
The A Clear View – digital mammography campaign is just over $800,000 towards its one-million dollar goal. The East Kootenay Foundation for Health is hopeful that with continued community support the campaign may be completed a year ahead of schedule by completion in October 2012. The summer is full of many fundraising initiatives including golf tournaments, a walk-a-thon, art sale and more.
