Delivering newspapers for literacy
Councillor Denise Pallesen will be walking in and around downtown Cranbrook delivering newspapers on Thursday, October 11 from 11:00 to 1:00 PM. Councillor Pallesen will be handing out both the Cranbrook Daily Townsman and the Kootenay Advertiser asking for donations that will go to Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy. The Kootenay ICE will be at Mcdonald's, and the Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy will be in the Tamarack Mall. All funds raised from the day will go towards CBAL and all funds will stay in the community to support literacy programs in Cranbrook. If you see them before Thursday be sure to pre-order your paper.
