College of the Rockies is holding an information session for those interested in University Studies options on Thursday, November 15 at 6 pm in Room 205.

Students looking to complete a university degree can take up to two-years of university-level courses in Arts and Sciences at College of the Rockies and then transfer to a university for their next two years of study.

University Studies Department Head Ildi Walkley says, “With a wide variety of arts and science courses, both on-campus and online, students can tailor their studies to take them wherever they want to go.  College of the Rockies offers a variety of certificates and diplomas that can lead into Associate or Bachelor’s Degrees or onto further learning.”

“We are pleased to be offering two new University Studies courses in January,” Walkley adds.   Anthropology 216, Culture and the Environment and English 248, Travel Writing have been added to our extensive list of Social Science and Humanities offerings.”

While attendees enjoy refreshments representatives from the College will be on hand to discuss transfer opportunities, face-to-face and online options, financial aid, prerequisites and admission requirements. The $30 application fee will be waived for anyone who attends the information session and applies to take University Studies courses for January 2013.
