Operation Christmas Child approaching

The National and Local collection week for the Samaritan Purse Operation Christmas Child Campaign is just around the corner. November 19th to 25th.

People across the country are busy packing shoeboxes for millions of children around the world, lovingly preparing them, before taking them to the nearest collection center.

This year, participants are trusting God to provide the 100 millionth shoebox  (yes! a 100 million goal) packed and distributed since 1993.

The Shoebox Packing season is here and it’s expected more children will be reached this year than ever before.

The final day to take your gift filled shoebox to your nearest drop-off center in the East Kootenay is Sunday November 25th.

Drop-off centers in the East Kootenay are as follows:

Cranbrook:

McDonalds, Real Canadian Super Store, Pharmasave, Alpine Toyota,World Gym and Most Banks.

Kimberley: RBC Bank, Blarchmont Learning Center,Lindsay Park School and the Real Canadian Dollar Store.

Elk Valley Locations: Extra Foods, Overwatea in Fernie and Sparwood and all East Kootenay Community Credit Unions in the Elk Valley.

Boxes can be picked up at supporting churches and clubs in the East Kootenay as well.
