Trashion Fashion show launches Cranbrook Food Bank initiative
Tamarack Centre is proud to host the 2nd Annual Mt. Baker Trashion Fashion show April 19 at 7 p.m. Located near Winners, come see the handy work of the Mt. Baker students as they showcase the latest in fashion using recycled materials.
The students associated with this event have worked for months preparing their designs and carefully collecting their recycled materials in order to walk the runway in front of an audience. A limited amount of seating is available, so come early! Admission to this event is a non-perishable food item or cash donation to help launch Tamarack Centre’s Fare Fight for Food initiative which raises food and money for the Cranbrook Food Bank Society.
Fare Fight for Food is officially launched! While you walk through Tamarack Centre visiting your favourite stores and services, take a look for the Fare Fight for Food display near the Telus Mobility store. Located at the display are two large bins where they are happily accepting food donations. In addition to donating, you could be the lucky winner of groceries for a year! For details and your chance to win go to tamarackcentre.ca.
While quantities last, bring in your food donation to the Tamarack Centre administration office and receive a free garden starter kit (garden seeds and peat pellets) courtesy of Top Crop Garden Farm and Pet.
Thank you to the charitable partners of the Fare Fight for Food: The Daily Townsman, Prestige Hotel, Ric’s Lounge and Grill, Top Crop Garden Farm and Pet, Genex Marketing, Snap East Kootenay, Nutters, Wolfpack Graphics and The Jim Pattison Broadcast Group.
