Sam Steele Days Schedule of Events

June 13th

 

Kick-off Pancake Breakfast

8:00 am - 11:00 am

Location: Tamarack Centre (Winners’ Entrance). Jaime Gordon of Green Door Catering will be cooking up pancakes (plain, chocolate chip, blueberry and banana- with butter, whipped cream and syrup) along with farmers sausage and bacon.  Proceeds to Community Connections Society of Southeast BC.

Business & Window Decorating Competition

9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Location: Businesses throughout the community. Sponsor: Cranbrook & District Arts Council.

Dress up your staff, business or windows and get into the spirit.  This year we are saluting the 4H Club who are celebrating their 100th Anniversary in Canada.  Winners will be announced at the Royal LePage EK Realty Barbecue on Friday, June 14. Kiddies Parade

9:30 am

Location:  Kiddies Parade will lead the grand parade.  Line up is at 9:30 am on 9th Ave. by The Choice. The parade will proceed west on Baker St., proceed to 11th Ave. and will disperse at the parking lot on the corner of 11th Ave. and Baker St.  Participation is FREE for all ages!  Dress up yourself, your bike, pet or teddy bear.  This is a chance for the kids to become involved in the community’s celebration.

Location:  Starting at Balment Park, along 1st St. to 8th Ave. to Baker St. and ending on Kootenay St. Enjoy the Sam Steele Days Parade.  Floats, Cars, Horses, Clowns and more!

Location:  Moir Park Soccer Fields. Sponsor:  Kootenay East Youth Soccer Association.
