Strike at COTR

College of the Rockies CUPE Local 2773 has advised COTR management of its intention to join a number of BC colleges’ CUPE locals in an all-campus strike starting Tuesday, November 20. Please see attached the CUPE National media release for more information regarding the province-wide labour action.

College of the Rockies expects Faculty will not cross picket lines on Tuesday and Wednesday and classes have been cancelled.

Pickets are expected Tuesday and Wednesday at COTR’s Cranbrook main campus and the Creston, Golden and Fernie campuses.  Management will be available at these campuses to answer questions and deal with student issues from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm weekdays during strike action.

COTR’s Invermere, Kimberley and Gold Creek campuses will be closed during strike action.
