potholeaward.jpg

Congratulations are in order to Luke Baxter, a grade 12 student from 2011/12 graduating class of Mount Baker Secondary School, who was the senior winner at the Regional level with his project on Pothole Prevention.

MLA Bennett on behalf of the Province, and Leslie Elder on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure, presented a certificate to Luke recognizing his achievement and the $1000 scholarship that is awaiting him when he enters university.

The Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure supports the efforts of students that focus on a transportation related theme for their project, giving $100 prizes to each of the winners at the Junior and Intermediate levels and a $1000 scholarship to one Regional winner within the Province of BC.
