The West Kootenay is an excellent place to travel this summer with various events and activities for the family to enjoy. The beauty of the West can be enjoyed throughout the Kootenay Boundary region with camping, accommodations, parks & activities. Here are a list of a few upcoming events to partake in:

 

July 25-27

Slocan Unity Music Festival

This is a three day musical festival  held on the beach in Slocan. Featuring two stages for the artists, a kids zone, workshops, local dancers, live arts and camping near the festival site. For more information go to www.unitymusicfestival.ca

Castlegar Kootenay Festival

Kaslo Jazz Festival

The 23rd annual Kaslo Jazz Festival will be held on a floating stage in Kaslo Bay on Kootenay Lake. Great outdoor music and dancing. For more information go to www.kaslojazzfest.com

Rossland Rubberhead Bike Festival

This is event is held at Red Mountain Resort and feature the Rubberhead Enduro, Poker Ride & Huck n Berries. Come out and watch talented riders take on the various downhill courses. For more information  go to www.Rosslandenduro.com or www.rosslandrubberhead.com

 

August 8-11

Salmo Shambhala Music Festival

The 17th annual electronic music fest is located on 500 acres of Kootenay ranch country with over 300 musical acts, six stages and artists from over the world.  For more information go to www.shambhalamusicfestival.com

Grand Forks Park In the Park Car Show

Grand Forks Fall Fair

This is the 104th year of the annual Fall Fair with many family oriented events at the Dick Bartlett Park. Everyone is welcome.

Nelson Kootenay Spirit Festival
