Young Ice fans get surprise

Lucas Chilton as well as brother and sister team Tom and Beth Sutton are the lucky winners of the Kootenay Advertiser hockey stick draw.

The youngsters received a hockey stick signed by the entire Kootenay Ice 2010-2011 dream team. Promotions such as these are only one way for the Ice to connect with their young fans.

The players also attend numerous community events and fundraisers all year long. They visit classrooms and meet children as part of fan activities, such as bowling. The Kootenay Ice also host the up and coming hockey talent at their home games with Timbits hockey games during intermission and welcoming young fans into their starting line-up.
