Cranbrook curling fun day

The Cranbrook Junior Curling Club hosted its Fun Day recently and it was fun and curling all-round.

“This was our very first “Fun Day” and it was a huge success in that everyone had a lot of fun,” said Maureen Augustine.

There were 32  participants – 8 teams in total (ages 10 – 15) from Cranbrook, Kimberly, Creston, Invermere and Sparwood.

“Special thanks to parent volunteers.  And a very special thank you to the Cranbrook Senior Curling Club who sponsored the Cranbrook Juniors for their Team shirts.  Many seniors chose individual juniors and sponsored them with a Team Curling Shirt and are also planning to play with their juniors at a special Jr./Sr. event Wednesday, February 29th.” said Augustine.

The visiting teams are already planning to do similar events next year through out the valley.
