Cranbrook moto cross rider takes first in class in Spokane races
A Cranbrook moto cross rider was recently awarded first in his class after some thrilling racing in Spokane.
At the Airway Heights Moto Cross Park on the weekend of May 12, Clayton Vogt and his Yamaha 450 wowed the crowd in all of his races, even coming in first after riding the final lap of one with a flat tire.
The following day, Vogt finished first in his class narrowly missing getting another first place finish after his handlebar clipped a turn marker causing a spill. Even with the accident, he ended up only about one-and-a-half bike lengths behind the winner.
Vogt also made a strong showing amongst the professional riders, taking a fourth place finish against a field of highly experienced competitors.
