ICE take Rebels
The Kootenay ICE hosted the Red Deer Rebels for a second time this week and once again came away victorious winning 3-2.
Red Deer's Turner Elson scored early in the second period to give the Rebels 1-0 lead. The ICE pressing hard in the second period, peppered Rebels goalie Bolton Pouliot with 21 shots. Sam Reinhart scored at 19:59 of the second period to tie the game.
Reinhart's goal pushed the ICE into a higher gear as they dominated the Rebels in the third period getting two goals from Eric Benoit. Rebels would inch closer by converting an ICE turnover but that would be it as the ICE held on for the victory. Mackenzie Skapski would be credited with the win on a 21 save performance.
