The Cranbrook Atom ICE placed second last weekend at the 2013 Glenlake Atom 1 Tournament called “Face Off in Fernie.”

The ICE went undefeated in round robin play beating Westwood 3-0, Glenlake 7-0 and Crowfoot 8-5.

Westwood came through the round robin with only one loss setting up a rematch with Cranbrook. In the final after two periods of play both Westwood and Cranbrook traded goals back and forth for a 2-2 tie. The ICE would get into some penalty trouble late in the third and Westwood would score two unanswered goals to make it a 4-2 final.
